Former Childhood Victim, Now A Black Belt Self Defense Expert Helps Parents Protect Kids From Adult Predators & Bullies.

(PRWEB) January 9, 2005 -- “Children shouldn’t be victims,” says Joe Rosner, author and black belt self-defense expert. Drawing on incidents from his own childhood and his extensive martial arts knowledge, Rosner has developed a system parents can use to teach kids to be more aware of dangerous people and situations, escape from danger and to fight back if needed.

Free instructional information is available at www.streetsmartselfdefense.com. “In a few minutes a Mom or Dad can print out discussion topics that can help them prepare their children to be safer. There’s also an easy to teach, easy to use, self-defense technique that even a small child can use to slow down or possibly frustrate a would-be abductor,” explains Rosner.

Rosner has also authored a book, “Street Smarts and Self-Defense for Children” as a resource for parents. The book includes discussion topics such as how to recognize a dangerous person, and how a child can find and ask someone for help if lost. The book also includes 25, fully illustrated, simple self-defense techniques. These techniques don’t require martial arts skills and are designed to work regardless of age, size or lack of athletic ability.

Joe Rosner has taught thousands of children and adults to be safer from crime and violence. Now a 6’2”, 210lb. black belt, with training in TaeKwonDo, Hapkido, Ju-Jitsu, Karate and Aikido, he is eager to share knowledge that could have helped him as a child growing up in a gang-infested Chicago neighborhood.
